Marine intelligence, in the wild

Welcome to MarineID

MarineID is a computer-vision project: software trained to recognize marine creatures in underwater video. Contributing underwater footage to MarineID helps us train MarineID to recognize new creatures and also helps to improve recognition of creatures that MarineID already knows.

i
MarineID will scan the video, create an annotated copy, and show species counts and confidence scores. Afterward, you can delete or contribute it.
i
Uploads the original directly to MarineID's private field library. It will not enter the analysis queue, so there is no annotated video or results to wait for.
